After taking a break to have her first baby, Lightman recorded and produced what she calls modern lullabies while her newborn son slept nearby. When The Lion Sleeps is due out May 7, 2019.This follows a list of notable works including her first two records, Little Things (2004) and Bird on a Wire (2006) on Atlantic Records, to three independent records on her own T Killa Records, Let Go (2008), Know Where I'm From (2010), which featured a limited edition, sold out fan participation book, EPs entitled Holding A Heart (2013) Long Hard Day (2015), Holiday Lights (2017), as well as self produced singles Spaces and Breathe In (2018). Toby has performed on various National TV shows such as Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, NBC's Today Show, and CBS' Second Cup. She has toured with renowned artists such as Rob Thomas, Jewel, James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Train, Marc Cohn, Lilith Fair 2010 and on one memorable evening, Prince. Since becoming an independent artist, it has seemed as though her career has really blossomed through much success with film and TV placements including "Everyday" on Fox's BONES, "Holding a Heart on WB's ONE TREE HILL, VAMPIRE DIARIES, 90210 as well as the feature film WHATS YOUR NUMBER?, "Let Go" as the HSN commercial theme song, "Snow Day" as the KMart commercial theme song, "Addicted" which aired in the commercial for ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES series finale as well as the trailer for the movie PLAYING FOR KEEPS, and most recently, Tobys song We Are was featured in the demo for the new Microsoft BING software.
